This story begins in the late nineties, on the crookedest street in San Francisco. It’s there where newlyweds Frank and Jessica Lonergan, fancying themselves as harbingers of contemporary culture, hosted their first salon. Remembered by some as the great fondue disco installation (or incident, depending on whom you ask) – that evening would inspire a lifelong passion for connecting the curious through culturally resonant events and experiences.

Many years and two daughters later, the Lonergans opened an “outpost for contemporary art” in bucolic Portola Valley, California. From this old barn nestled among towering redwoods, Spur Happenings was born, and a decade of art and culture inspired collaborations were to follow.

In 2013, the Lonergan family moved to Hong Kong ~ adding a luxury real estate sales and marketing business to their portfolio.

After a successful ten-year run in Asia, the Lonergans returned to the United States to launch a new chapter in Los Angeles where they continue to focus on art & culture, philanthropy and real estate.
