The story begins in the late nineties, on the crookedest street in San Francisco — where newlyweds Jessica and Frank Lonergan, fancying themselves harbingers of contemporary culture, hosted their first salon. Remembered by some as the great fondue disco installation (or incident, depending on whom you ask), that evening planted the seed for a lifelong pursuit: connecting the curious through culturally resonant experiences.
Many years and two daughters later, the Lonergans opened an outpost for contemporary art in bucolic Portola Valley, California. Born among towering redwoods, Spur Projects has grown into a lifelong commitment to art, collaboration, and community.
In 2013, the family relocated to Hong Kong, where Jessica led the luxury division of Habitat Property — becoming its top producer in leasing and sales — while Frank built a distinguished career in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and strategic partnership development spanning arts, hospitality, and global philanthropy.
After a successful decade in Asia, the Lonergans returned to the United States to open a new chapter in Los Angeles. Jessica now serves as a trusted luxury real estate advisor at Ernie Carswell & Associates, Sotheby’s International Realty, guiding clients — particularly those in the global creative community — through the city’s most distinctive homes. Frank serves as Senior Director of Market and Community Development at the V Foundation for Cancer Research, building the high-trust relationships and mission-aligned ecosystems that drive meaningful change.
